| Significant Student Gains | |
| After one school year in the We Can! Early Childhood Curriculum, children enrolled in 15 preschool classrooms at six Title I schools with the greatest free/reduced lunch rates in the Granite School District showed significant improvements in receptive and expressive language as measured by the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Tests (PPVT) and the Expressive Vocabulary Test (EVT). | |
| Children using We Can! showed significantly greater improvements from pretest to posttest on all Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening (PALS) literacy measures than children from comparable schools with similar demographic characteristics known to affect student achievement. | |

| You can tell which kids participated in classrooms using the We Can! curriculum — they're better prepared and they stand out. |
