Multilingual Instruction

Daily multi-lingual instruction in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language (ASL) enhances knowledge and clarifies instruction.

American Sign Language (ASL)

Children learn dozens of ASL words and phrases and build vocabulary and oral language skills as children use their hands in active participation. Teachers also use ASL as a behavioral tool to signal and maintain attention, clarify expectations, and compliment children's efforts and achievements.

The We Can Sing in English and Spanish CD-ROM and poem posters teach children phonological and phonemic awareness using rhyming chants, poetry, and songs.
