Work Samples: Demonstrate student progress over time, and can be used to show achievement to parents or other teachers.

 
Student Mailboxes: Work saved in student mailboxes serve as a record of change over time.

 
 
 
 
Emerging Literacy Checklist (included in Building Early Literacy and Language Skills (BELLS)): Used together with baseline data on each child at the beginning of the year. This data helps plan instruction and develop baseline information used to track student achievement.

 
 
Early Childhood Assessment: Used to collect data at the beginning, middle, and end of the year. Use part or all of the assessment, depending on children's needs and abilities.

 
 
 
Monthly Skills Checklist: Used to link home and school communications. Once instruction for the thematic unit is complete, instructors should observe, chart data, and complete a Monthly Skills Checklist for each child.
