A Retrospective Evaluation of Voyages
Voyages was adopted by elementary schools in a large urban school district in the Northeastern United States as the core mathematics curriculum in grades K-5. Data was collected over a two-year period during the 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 school years.
Increases of 27.2% on High Stakes
After 18 months of instruction, the percent of Voyages students scoring in the Proficient and above categories on the Connecticut Mastery Test (CMT) increased by 27.2%.
Gains of 29-43%

On average, Black and Hispanic students made greater gains than the sample as a whole on the Connecticut Mastery Test (CMT).

Black students scoring Proficient and above increased by 43%.

 
Hispanic students scoring Proficient and above increased by 29%.
