I LOVE doing the pre-test and post-test, because it is direct feedback on how well the concepts that have been taught were mastered. It is so exciting to give a pre-test and the students clearly do not have a grasp of the concept being tested, then at the end of the module that you teach, you administer the post-test and the results are sometimes staggering. I have students in my 6th grade class that are having success in math for the first time in their lives. I actually had one student to tell me that she now enjoys math!
