As sixth-grade students encounter real-world situations, puzzles, and problems, they are challenged to explore and create a variety of possible solutions. Literacy skills and strategies are amplified to as students actively read, listen, speak, and create. Life-long skills of forecasting, analyzing, planning and implementing are coupled with critical literacy instruction.
